Meet Your Arborist
Matthew Burgess
I stumbled into the the tree care industry in 2017 after completing my undergrad at Belmont University in Nashville,TN. Not long after graduation I moved to Colorado to work as a snowboard instructor at Beaver Creek Ski Resort. What I anticipated to be a winter job turned into a career in the tree care industry. Once the snow melted I decided to stick around for the summer and landed a job as a brush hauler with the local tree care company. There I learned the fundamentals of proper tree trimming/removal, stump grinding & was personally proving treatments/air spading by the time I moved back home to Fort Worth, TX. I continued working in the industry in my hometown until I was hired as an Arborist/Sales Consultant here in Austin, TX early 2021. February Winter Storm "Uri" caused severe damage across the state and provided a unique learning experience for Texas arboriculture. Tree Service & Consulting LLC is an accumulation of my experience, knowledge & passion for the industry
